Discord experiences disruption to message sending/receiving and loading; restored after about 50 minutes

From around 10:00 AM PDT to around 11:00 AM PDT on March 9, 2026, an outage occurred for some Discord users in which they were unable to send, receive, or load messages.
According to Discord's status page, an investigation was launched at 10:08 AM PDT on March 9, 2026, after it was determined that there might be an issue affecting the sending and receiving of messages.
After that, Discord identified the cause of the outage at 10:22 AM PDT that same day, and stated that a fix was applied at 10:29 AM PDT.
Ultimately, it was announced at 10:58 AM PDT that this outage had been resolved.
During this outage, there were reports that Discord users were unable to send or receive messages, and that attempting to load messages resulted in an error message stating [Messages Failed to Load].
Although the outage has now been resolved, if you sent any messages during the period when the outage occurred, it is recommended that you confirm whether they were sent successfully.
