My New Journey as a Board Member of the lirfa association

Thank you, as always, for reading my blog. I’m Roboin, the author of this blog. I also go by the name SHIRATO Rei when I’m working with Larva06, so some of you may know me by that name.

I have been involved with the technical and design aspects of Larva06, a platform dedicated to showcasing teenage researchers. As announced officially by Larva06, we have established the lirfa association to manage Larva06, and I am pleased to report that I have been appointed as a board member.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us along the way. It is thanks to your encouragement and support that Larva06 has grown to this stage, enabling us to take this new step as a formal association. I hope we can continue to count on your support.

In December 2022, I received a message on my smartphone that marked the beginning of my journey. It was a call for members to join Larva06, a media platform dedicated to highlighting teenage researchers in junior high and high school.

Originally, Larva06 began as a ramen blog by our founder, Aso, and eventually evolved into a media platform supporting teenage researchers. Since then, I have contributed as a programmer, building Larva06’s website, and have also been involved in design and event planning from time to time.

The establishment of the lirfa association is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting teenage researchers. With the formation of this association, we believe we can provide even more robust and flexible support for their research.

Our mission is to increase awareness of teenage researchers and contribute to the advancement of their work. We will undertake various initiatives to fulfill this mission, and we believe that the establishment of the association will enable us to pursue even broader and more flexible activities.

As a board member of the association, I am committed to further strengthening our support for teenage researchers. We look forward to continuing to support Larva06 and the lirfa association as we work towards realizing a more supportive environment for young talent in Japan.

About Larva06 and the lirfa association

Larva06 is a media platform dedicated to supporting teenage researchers, focusing on junior high and high school students. Established in December 2022, it launched its website in August 2023 during a pre-opening phase.

Teenage researchers often face challenges in gaining visibility and securing funding. Larva06 aims to address these issues by featuring teenage researchers in interviews and publishing articles that showcase their activities, which helps raise their profile and make it easier to secure financial support. Additionally, we hope to inspire other young students by sparking their interest in research, encouraging them to pursue scientific activities.

Through these initiatives, Larva06 aspires to contribute to the growth of scientific and technological capabilities in Japan.

Now, as the managing entity of Larva06, the lirfa association has been established to provide enhanced support for teenage researchers. This association aims to strengthen our operational structure and enhance our social responsibility and trustworthiness. We are dedicated to creating an environment in Japan where young talent can thrive.
