What is [Try the new post filter]?
When you view a profile on the web client of X, a message saying [Try the new post filter] now appears.
This is a banner introducing a new feature that lets you filter the posts shown on a profile by specific conditions.
This banner itself is not clickable, and clicking the message part of the banner does not do anything.
If you want to hide this banner, you can simply leave it alone or click the × mark on the right edge of the banner to hide it.
What happens when you click it?
As mentioned above, clicking the message part of this banner does not do anything in particular.
However, if you click the [Posts] section that the speech bubble points to, you can use the post filter.
With the post filter, you can choose the types of posts to display and the sorting method.
For sorting, you can switch between [Latest] and [Most liked], and for filtering, you can switch between [All], [Replies], [Quotes], and [Videos]. You can apply the changes by clicking the [View changes] button.

It is useful when you want to review the posts from a specific account that received a large response all at once, or when you want to narrow things down to a specific type of post.
