VRChat fan world Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space, recreating Tsukuyomi’s tutorial from Cosmic Princess Kaguya!, is now available
Digital multi-creator roboin has released Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space, an unofficial fan world inspired by the tutorial scene from Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (超かぐや姫!), in VRChat Community Labs.
Cosmic Princess Kaguya! is a Netflix anime inspired by The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, Japan’s oldest narrative tale, and takes place in the virtual space Tsukuyomi.
Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space lets you experience one of the film’s most memorable environments in VRChat. Inside the world, you’ll find a water surface, two torii gates, and countless lanterns floating on the water. The world cycles through day and night in 5 minutes and includes procedurally generated clouds, animated water, and lighting effects that reflect light from the video player onto avatars and the water surface.
Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space is an unofficial fan world created under the derivative work guidelines for Cosmic Princess Kaguya! and participates in the Tsukuyomi Appreciation Festival fan art & fan world submission project. It has no affiliation with the official Cosmic Princess Kaguya! team, Netflix, or any related companies.
Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space, a VRChat world inspired by the tutorial scene from Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space is an unofficial fan world that recreates the tutorial scene from Cosmic Princess Kaguya! in VRChat. Inside the world, you can explore a space inspired by the work’s atmosphere, with a vast water surface, two torii gates, and countless lanterns floating on the water.
The world completes a full day-night cycle in 5 minutes, so you can experience daytime, evening, and nighttime even during a short visit. During the day, you can see the sky and water surface in clear detail. At night, the scenery takes on a dreamlike quality as the lanterns and the light from the video player stand out with greater intensity. The world looks different depending on the timing, so the same location can offer a different mood each time.

The clouds floating in the sky use procedural generation and move over time. Unlike a fixed-image skybox, the sky changes little by little while you spend time in the world. Combined with the day-night cycle, the space gives you a sense of time passing.
The world includes VizVid as its video player and UnyStylus as a multifunctional pen. The full world supports the voxel-based lighting system VRC Light Volumes and the real-time area light system LTCGI. When you play a video through the video player, its light illuminates the water surface, the torii gates, and avatars that use compatible shaders.
Tsukuyomi Tutorial Space works well as a place to spend time with friends in a dreamlike atmosphere or take photos. Please visit the world and experience the scenery as it changes between day and night. I would also appreciate your help with posting photos on X and sharing the announcement post.

I've been using JavaScript more than my native language since birth. I am nowhere and everywhere on the internet.
I build web apps and browser extensions in TypeScript as a web frontend programmer. I released Shadowban Scanner, a tool that detects shadowbans on X, and Restore Link Card, a tool that brings back link cards. Media outlets in Japan and abroad covered both tools. For iGEM 2023, I built the Wiki for Team Japan-United and helped the team win the Grand Prize. On my blog, I cover news about X and social media, test and troubleshoot bugs, and share frontend development insights.
