- Replaced “Tweet” with “Post”(#1719)
In this release, I fixed several bugs, including ones reported by users.
In addition, in response to specification changes for X, I replaced "Twitter" with "X" and "tweet" with "post." Goodbye, blue bird, forever 🕊️...
Currently, the number of active users of Shadowban Scanner has exceeded 48,000, and we are nearing 50,000. On the developer's timeline, I occasionally see people using Shadowban Scanner, and I jump for joy every time!
Shadowban-related news
This is unrelated to the Shadowban Scanner update, but I also bring you some shadowban-related news.
On X, you previously could determine whether an account was shadowbanned by clicking [Summarize profile] on the Grok icon shown on the account’s profile.
If the account was not shadowbanned, Grok would output a profile summary, and if it was shadowbanned, the message “There are not enough posts to summarize” would be displayed.
However, since around October 2025, shadowban detection using this method has no longer worked.
This does not affect Shadowban Scanner, but please be aware if you rely on Grok for shadowban detection.
It's a Japanese language article, but you can find more details about this news at the following link:
Request for support
Shadowban Scanner is a hobby project by the developer, but it takes a lot of time to develop and maintain. If you have the means, I would appreciate your support for its development.
I accept donations through Buy Me a Coffee or GitHub Sponsors. Please note that there are options for both recurring and one-time donations.
Furthermore, simply following the developer's X (Twitter) account can also be a great motivation for development. If you are knowledgeable in programming or interested in contributing to translations, please consider joining the development on GitHub!

I've been using JavaScript more than my native language since birth. I am nowhere and everywhere on the internet.
I build web apps and browser extensions in TypeScript as a web frontend programmer. I released Shadowban Scanner, a tool that detects shadowbans on X, and Restore Link Card, a tool that brings back link cards. Media outlets in Japan and abroad covered both tools. For iGEM 2023, I built the Wiki for Team Japan-United and helped the team win the Grand Prize. On my blog, I cover news about X and social media, test and troubleshoot bugs, and share frontend development insights.
