X adds AI labels and paid partnership labels to enhance content transparency

X has implemented a new feature "Content Disclosures" that lets you add labels such as "Paid partnership" and "Made with AI" to new or existing posts.

In the Paid Partnerships Policy on X, it is stipulated that when you promote products or services in exchange for compensation or incentives, you must include clear information such as "Ad" or "Promoted Content."

Posts that are part of a Paid Partnership published as an organic Post must include clear and conspicuous language indicating the commercial nature of such content, like “Ad” or “Promoted Content.”

X's official account for creators posted about the paid partnership label, saying, "You can now clearly disclose when organic content is paid for or incentivized by a third party, without having to include “ad” or “sponsored” in the copy," and promoted its usefulness.

In recent years, with the spread of generative AI, so-called "AI slop" low-quality, mass-produced content, as well as fake images and fake videos, have come to be seen as problems on X.
