Did X analytics disappear or become unavailable? Explaining the new way to view them
Due to changes to X's specifications, the button for viewing analytics that used to appear under posts on the web client has been removed.
In this article, I introduce where you can view analytics on the web client of X and the new way to check them.

The [View post engagement] button has been removed
Until now on the web client of X, when you clicked a post you had made, a button labeled [View post engagement] would appear at the bottom of the post, and by clicking it you could view the post's analytics.
In post analytics, you can view statistics for the following items related to that post.
- Impressions: The number of times the post was displayed on X
- Engagements: The total number of times users interacted with the post. Includes post clicks, reposts, replies, follows, and likes
- Detail expands: The number of times users viewed the post in detail
- Profile visits: The number of times the profile was viewed from the post
- Link clicks: The number of clicks on URLs included in the post
However, due to a recent change to X's specifications, the [View post engagement] button that appeared when you clicked a post has been removed.
What is the new way to check?
Because the feature itself for displaying post analytics has not been removed, you can continue to check the same data as [View post engagement] using a different method than before.
You can check post analytics with the following steps.
Display your own post for which you want to check analytics
Click the menu button in the upper right of the post
Click [View post analytics] in the menu

What to do when you cannot find [View post analytics]
If you click the post's menu button but cannot find [View post analytics] in the menu, the following causes may be possible.
You are opening someone else's post
You can display analytics only for posts that you have posted yourself.
Even if you click the menu of a post posted by another user, you cannot display analytics.
It is being hidden by a browser extension
Some extensions that improve X's UI may include a feature that hides buttons such as analytics.
It is possible that such an extension is hiding the [View post analytics] button.
If you have installed extensions in your browser that improve X's UI, try disabling those extensions and reloading X.
You are using the mobile app
The method introduced in this article is how to display analytics on the web client of X.
On the mobile app, you can check analytics in a different way.
Conclusion
Due to changes to X's specifications, the button for viewing analytics that used to appear under posts on the web version has been removed.
After the change, you can view analytics from the [View post analytics] button in the post menu.
