How to view and edit X (Twitter) extended bio on Android
This article explains how to view and edit the "extended bio" on X (Twitter), which lets you set a long self-introduction and links, from Android.
What is an extended bio?
On X, there is a feature called the "extended bio" that lets you add a more detailed profile than the normal profile.
When you have an extended bio set, a button labeled [Show more] is added to your normal profile. Pressing that button lets you view the extended bio.
An extended bio not only allows you to write a longer profile than usual, but also to add formatting such as headings, bold, and italics.
You can also set links, so you can add links to a portfolio or homepage.
In addition, you can set employment history such as affiliations and positions from past to present.
How to view and edit the extended bio on Android
On the iOS app and the web version, a button labeled [Show more] is added below the normal profile, so you can view the extended bio from there.
Also, the extended bio can be edited from the normal profile editing screen.
However, in X's Android app, even if an extended bio is set, the [Show more] button does not appear, and there is no extended bio edit button in the profile editing screen.
So how can you view or edit the extended bio in the Android app?
Either wait for the Android app to support the extended bio, or use the web version to view or edit it.
If you want to view someone else's extended bio, or edit your own, display that account’s profile or your own profile in the Android app, then tap the menu button at the top right > [Share] and select [Chrome] (or another browser app).
The web version of X will open, so if you are not logged in, log in and you will be able to view and edit the extended bio.

X’s extended bio is a feature that lets you write a longer self-introduction and set links than the normal profile.
You can view and edit extended bio on X’s web version and iOS app, but not on the Android app.
If you want to view or edit an extended bio on Android, open the web version of X in a browser such as Google Chrome.
