X's [React with Video]

X's "React with Video" feature lets you post a video response to a post on X.

After you tap the repost button and choose [React with Video], you can record a video in green screen, split screen, or picture-in-picture format.

Users often shared posts on X through reposts or quote posts. With [React with Video], you can respond through video that includes your face and voice instead of text.

This feature works well when you want to add reactions or live-commentary-style comments that text alone cannot convey.

Commentary is one of the most important pillars of X. And sometimes the best way to share your thoughts is with video.

Features available in [React with Video]

With [React with Video], you can record your reaction video while showing the original post on the screen.

At the time of writing, you can choose from the following three recording formats.

• Green screen
• Split screen
• Picture-in-picture

Green screen lets you record your video over the original post as the background. Split screen shows the original post and your video in separate areas of the screen. Picture-in-picture shows the original post while placing your video in a small overlay on top of it.

How to use [React with Video] on X

You can use [React with Video] from the menu that appears after you tap the repost button on a post.

1. Open the X app

2. Show the post you want to react to

3. Tap [React with Video]

4. Choose a recording format and record your video

Your posted video appears in the timeline and on your profile, just like a standard post.

Reasons [React with Video] does not appear

At the time of writing, X offers [React with Video] only in the iOS version of the X app. You cannot use it in the Android app or the web version.

When the option does not appear on your iPhone, update the X app to the latest version from the App Store and restart the app.
